Frequently Asked Questions Practical Hands-On Guide to SCORM Development

Q: I have a good working knowledge of SCORM 1.2, but know nothing about SCORM 2004. Will I have to start from the beginning?
A: No, SCORM 1.2 is a fine place to start. I will give you a short lesson on what the main differences are between SCORM 1.2 and 2004 and then move into the essentials of SCORM 2004..

Q: I only have a high level understanding of SCORM 2004 will this course help me?
A: Yes, That is OK. The hands-On Class is all about SCORM 2004 and how to implement it; we even create a SCORM 2004 course the last day of class. By the end of class, you will have a working knowledge.

Q: I understand what Sequencing and Navigation is, but how do I actually code it into a course?
A: You can code it in class. I have one day where I teach all about Simple Sequencing. The class creates, manipulates, and runs example manifest files that contain the Sequencing and all examples used in class, plus more, are provided on your student disk for you to take with you.

Q: I am looking for some training that will provide me with more than a simple introduction to SCORM 2004. Will this course provide that?
A: This course will give you quite in-depth knowledge and practical experience about SCORM 2004 and explain how to use it in developing both course content and assessments.
